I have a confession. I think , I might be a shopaholic. Or perhaps, you guys can help me whether I do have a symptom or potential to be a shopaholic.
This morning, one of my co-worker passed me one big plastic bag contained a few women product that I ordered from her (as her side-income) and, it cost me almost RM100. I noticed that all my previous workplace got at least one person who would take a product to the office and promotes it their co-worker and of course, being a supporter, I support them by buying their products. From cloths to accessories, or some MLM's product - e.g. food supplement; women wash; you name it. So, haha!! I rate myself 1 to 10 (10 is the bigger) as 8 that I am always.. "support" them to generate their income. :P
This afternoon, on my way to the cafeteria to get lunch at my workplace, there it was a booth of this Bank who promotes credit cards. My eyes were on the advert that shows good offer that I should not lose. I am tempted to approach one "agent" and to get more info. We have eye to eye contact but then again a voice shouts at my ears, "NO!!! you have 3 credit cards all ready!! You need to handle the debts first!! REMEMBER???!!!" Quickly I look somewhere else and focused on what I am to get for lunch. Uuhhhh..!! I squeezed my purse holding myself to be patient. Huhu!!
This evening, after work I went for a dinner with a few girlfriends (my BFFs) and we all chit chatting about how things going on in our life. One of our friend just come back from vacation from overseas. Wow!! And when I look at her glooming being when she shared her shopping experience, I shut my mind and I just hearing, "cheap! cheap! cheap! cheap! original! very nice! more choices! cheap! cheap! cheeeeeeeaappp....!" [*sounded like chipping birds..]
And then, later in evening, I realized that, I have spent half of this months salary just to pay my credit cards...uurrhhhggghhh... and it's not reduce much!! :( Uuuuhhhhhhh...
And so, I googled on How to Recognize Symptoms of Shopaholic. A British study states that 2-10% of adults tend to love shopping. In women, this trend increased 9 times larger than the male. (WHATTT???!!!! 9 times?? ) Well, do I have a tendency to be shopaholic? Consider the following signs:
1. You are very eager to discuss plans for shopping streets. If not able to make it happen in one week, you’ll be disappointed. [Yahhh..sometimes..(*still in denial)]
2. Your moods change frequently. When shopping, you’re excited. (Of course!!!!!!) However, your emotions can turn grim when the money you have or even exhausted.
(Auuuch!! You got me at Hello!!!!)
3. You see a wedding party or a party rather than as a moment to have fun, but as an excuse to shop for new clothes. (Errrrrrrmmmmm...ehem!! I better let my bf answer this..)
So, am I a shopaholic? Well, I like to shop.. I love branded stuff but, I'm not that obsess like the girl in that movie, "A confession of a Shopaholic". I'm just like the rest of you out there.. (you know..) Normal. :) define normal can be subjective and what I have learned here to accept that "hey, we women have taste!" hahaha!!
Anyway, I would love to add that what's count is the value of getting what we want. It's not just a scarf, it can a symbol to someone. It's not just spend money, it's investing! We invest to boost up our confident level, we invest to heal our emotional break down. We invest on something that shall improve our relationship with others. So, it's not just buying a thing but, to be able to see the value that come out from the things that we bought for our personal development.
You see?!
Anyway, be moderate. Be thoughtful. Be thankful.
To me, it doesn't matter women or men who got the highest statistic on "who loves to shop the most," just as long it brings good values to us and be wise. STOP! LOOK! CHOOSE! and VOTE!!
Love, Sufi.

Leap of Faith
25 June 2011 - The day that I shall never forget. Last weekend, I had the best experience in my whole life eveeeerrrrr!! Never thought that by standing at the edge of more than 100 metres height and jump can change the way I see my life and what is possible for me and the people that I care enough and love. I call this experience, as "Leap of Faith".
My Name is Sufi. I choose this Event.
The event took place at Sungai Itek, Perak we arrived there before 10am after traveling that morning from Asiaworks Training Center at around 7am. All together are 39, include our 6 Seniors, they called themselves Wild Rose.
It was conducted by the Nomad Adventure http://www.nomadadventure.com/ and the Trainer for this event is Mr. Jeffrey. He is soooo cool and inspired man. We started off by warming up and did the ground exercise, balancing our body, focusing the aims, and buiding up the teamworks. After lunch, the journey began and then, my worst nightmare come true..
My first challenge is to climb the 100 metres height tyres and string!! I told to my Buddy, Syuan and encourage her to go early because, I know the more I delayed, the more fear conquer me. So, fucked it!! Just do it!! I don't care enough about the possibility of falling. I am a Hypsiphobia- Fear of height. You guys can google here if you guys want to know more. http://phobialist.com/#H-
As I focused to be on top, I am strugling to lift my butt up and I'm cursing myself, why do I put so much weight. F*ck!! My butt is as heavy like a rock and I used my arms to pull me up. And I started to get tired. As I stop and I begin to cried. I hear a lot of voices, encouraging me not to stop. I'm cursing! I'm cursing!
Jay, the Coordinator-Terminator voices coach me to focus using my leg to move up. And start to focus and climb. It was aweful pain. The facilitator was waiting for me on the top still encouraging to move up further, "A bit more, Sufi. Just a bit more, Sufi." I beg him to pull my hand, "No Sufi. You can do it," And I told myself, "Yes sufi, YOU can do this sh**t!! If you can do this, you can do anything you want!!! Just move your butt up!!"
Next Challenge.
And I did it. And there is more to come. My heartbeat run so fast and I can hear it out loud. WTF!! My hand was sweating like water and I really want to pee my pants out. Next challenge is to cross to the next point walking on one single rope. The only thing that I can depand to is the hold rope hanging on top of me. Shhh****tttttt.. Thank goodness for the "hannes" and the "liferope" that connect between myself and the main cabel so that I won't fall if I slip.
First thing that come out from my mouth before crossing the rope is "I'M SCARED!!!!!!!" And YES, I am. Jay was, "What Sufi? You scared? Just do it and remember the exercise that we do this morning," I looked at the facilitator and he gives me tips how to cross this road. As I calmly crossed, my mind was everywhere and I strugling to balance myself and move forward, I move my right legs slow and steady forward and at the same time keep balance my body. Once I have the pase and I told myself, "one - two, one - two, one- two," and I'm all ready at the middle of the rope. Jay shouts, "There you go, you almost there, Sufi." Gosh, this is not bad, telling myself and I'm arrived.
Next Point.
Before I started my next challenge, I pause and asking myself how to do this? I can hear Jay was not stop shouting encourage me to just move forward. He started to irritates me somehow and it distract my focus and I do remember gives him signal for him to shut the f*cked up! Oh, yeah, and he got it. :P
I started to calm down and focused to the next challenge. Its required me to step on a wood hanging and a big gap to cross over, there is a rope hanging and I need to swing to get to the next step for me to move to the next point. I did it again. I manage to control my fear, so far it's been good. I'm hearing cheers from the supporters.
Flyiiiiiinnngggg...
The adrenalin starts to kicked it like hell and I love every moment. Keep telling myself to be brave, to have faith, to believe that I can do this challenge. And at the same time, I pray to God that things shall go smoothly. I feel relieved that I finally got to the last challenge. And the Facilitator just said to me to enjoy the ride. It was called the flying fox. I heard about it last time. All I need to do is just fly.. and up! Up! Weeeeeeeeeee........ Fantastic!! This is awesome, better than roller coster ride! Kawabanggaaaa!! Thank God there is someone special waiting and catch me at the other side..;P
When I looked back all the challenge that afternoon, hell NO I'm going to do it again. And then again, I proove myself that I conquer my worst nightmare. Still scare of height though. It's just don't stop me from achieving my goals.
Leap of Faith
And the ultimate challenge of the day is the Leap of Faith. Just imagine we climb the Tallest Durian Tree of more 100 metres height. Once I reach there, there is a ball (sepak raga ball) hanging, waiting to be slap. That ball symbolise my goal. I need to jump and with my left hand, I need to hit the ball. That's it.
So, as I climbing up all I'm thinking is my ultimate goal. What is so real to me and why this goal is important to me? What Goal mean? Why it is my goal - Desire? Compelling Desire? What do I want? So sudden, I have a vision of having my own family. :)
As I was standing on the platform and ready to jump. My focus is on the ball hanging. I set my mind on what I see beyond that ball, and when I am ready to leap, I gather one last strength and I scream out laud, "I want to have my oooowwwwwwwwnnnnnnnn familyyyyyyyyy...!!!!!!"
Yup! Everybody in the camp and the jungle heard it. Even God also heard my pray!! What's possible next is, "if it's to be, it's up to me," And, when my intention is clear, the path shall lead the way for both, me and him. I acknowledge of facing the risk. Risk that I am willing to take to make my dream come true. And in order for me to make my dream a reality I need to be something to contribute. I want to make my dream come true. I belief my dream shall be a reality and especially, I know I can count on him as well. I know that, it takes two to tango and, effective action are needed to make it happen. Sure, obstacle would love to drob bye say "hi!" and yes, I know, he knows that whatever happen, our will shall conquer all because, I will make sure that it is made by iron and not from plastic where we can recycle.
And this is one goal that I shall never let go.. To Be Love, To Do Love and To Have Love until the rest of my life and I know,me and him shall fly.. and we shall fly to the moon..

Journey of Life
Many things had happen to me lately and I have been in my own thought about how I have operated my life.
I notice that I operate my life from automatic. It means I have been doing things in routine. Wake up early in the morning, drive to work with lots of cars on the road and caused traffic jam, and then complaint, reach office, do work, load of work and then complaint again.. nothing excite me. Reading news, complaint about the world, people don't change, government don't change. Funny is, I just don't do anything about it. Just be in automatic.
As I experience my life which is include my work, my relationship with family and friends, I notice that I have been surviving and comfortable with that. No wonder I feel tired and numbness. I'm feeling hopeless and disappointed as if I have lost and missing something that really matters to me. So, what's not working in my life such that I have this feelings? Sad. Sour. Bored. Pain. Don't care enough.
And so, I stop from doing anything at all and did some reflection about my life, asking a few questions and it has been a long weekend.
First question, what am I pretending not to know?
At first I didn't understand this question. "What does it means?" I ignore it for awhile however, the more I resist to look at it, the more its irritating me. It got my attention. I was struggled to find the right answer. So, what you resist, persist. Okay, I make a new choices, by asking additional questions to get clarity of what does it mean. I caught myself denying 'I'm not pretending. What do I know about the things that I don't know? This is ridiculous. How can we know the things that we don't know? We just don't know what we don't know! How can we pretend not to know? If we don't know means we don't know lah! Haiiyaaa, why make things complicated?'
Okay, let say if this question evolve about life, where can we begin? Can we begin since I was born? How was my childhood? How was I responding to my life when I was teenager? Who was I when I was growing up? How was my environment at home influence the way I am today?
These questions has invited me to go back to the past, digging the memories that I have folded, and the experience and result that I have created.
Along the journey, I have meeting up a lot of people and the event that happened in my life has giving me experiences of pain, sadness, emptiness, satisfaction, broken hearted and it has make me become shy, lazy, irresponsible, living in mediocrity, do things just for the sake of doing. If I experience love, care, honesty I caught my head said 'It's not going to last longer. This too good to be true'.
So, I have been putting layers by layers and cover myself with fixed belief. One good example that I have been always told myself is that I am not good enough to go further in my life. I have been noticing a lot of excuses for me not to do many things that I want. It hold me back from getting what I deserve in life. Later that I know it was me who has sabotage myself. How could I ever do that? How can I betrayed my life?
Damn! What other excuses that I have been telling myself about me?
I got to STOP now. Stop living in automatic. Life isn't just routine. It's about creation and thousands of possibilities. Continue reflecting on how I operate my life daily, take the lesson and extended my growth. Keep looking for what is working and what's not for me and make new choices - where can lead me to the life that I imagine and deserved to have, and brings joy to me along the journey. Collecting new friends and new experiences. Just do it.
I am today and from now on, collecting my blessing and being thankful for who I am and how I have lived my life. I have a healthy body and soul, loving family and friends, life partner that I can trust, career and steady income. Now that I know, my journey of life isn't just plain simple and dull. The power is lies in me to create and living it.
Today, I choose to live my life, Living in Abundance & Prosperity. Look forward for today, new day and everyday. Oh, well.. Cheers, peeps! Let's celebrate life!

GE13: Why Vote?
Yesterday I had a dinner with this guy after work. He is about 38 years old Malaysian man. We met in one of the event and we exchange phone number. Last night was the first time we went out to hang out and chill. So, I warm up the conversation begin with how's life? how's work? Very common answer.
And then, we went on chat about the current news; the General Election 2013 and I asked him, "Where you're going to cast your vote?" with excitement and enthusiams. He replied, "I'm not a registered voter," My jaw drop and respond, "How come?"
Him : I'm just not into politics. Not my cup of tea..
Me : Why not?
Him : Makes no difference. With one vote.. Nothing is going to change.
Me : So, you are okay with everything that happen in Malaysia? Or you just don't care?
Him : Yeah.. everything is fine. Whatever happen right now, we adjust. As long as I manage my financial, my freedom, I'm good. Whatever..
Me : Owh! If you are not happy with the current government, how did you voiced out your voice?
Him : Facebook, Malaysiakini, just post my comment.
Me : (Laughing out loud) You know it doesn't work that way?! Seriously, if you don't vote, then.. Pakistani, Philippians, Bangladeshi shall vote on your behalf.. since when they have this right?
Him : Yeah.. you have a point. But, I don't care.
I just stop the conversation about him being a non-registered voter and yes, he is not the only one. There is many among us just don't care. Simply don't care. Even if we are a registered voter, some of us just don't care to vote. We don't care what or who govern our country, manage our tax money.
Well, my reason to vote is to get my voice heard, exercise my right to choose who I sincerely feels should we elect to govern our country, to create our stand and develop our nation. 1001 reasons why we should vote!
However, I do acknowledge that not voting as well is a choice, but still... why don't you just vote. Yes, indeed. Another 1001 reasons why you decide NOT to vote. Whatever it is, you always right. Oh, well ~ No wonder 'lah what happen in our country right NOW happened the way it is. We all responsible for that, because we just don't care enough ...
I care.

Hiking at Broga Hill, Semenyih
I've seen my friends went to Broga Hill when they posted on Facebook. The pictures taken was amazing and beautiful. And I shall take the opportunity when it arrives.
One sweet day, a bunch of friends organised an event to go hiking to Broga Hill and I accepted the invitation and drag my boyfriend to come along. This excite me! Finally, Broga Hill.
We started the journey at 4.30am in the morning from Bangsar, meeting point with a small group of us and we shall meet the rest of the team at Pekan Semenyih Petronas gas station by 5.30am. Because we all wanted to reach at the peak by 6.30am, before sunrise.
All pump up and ready to go. It's about 20ish people. The sky is still dark and there is many of people wanted to hike as well.
The journey for the first 10 minutes was okay, the trail was quite flat, however.. the next 10 minutes, I started to panting. The trail started to get challenging. I could hear my head was screaming "what are you get yourself into?" I hardly do exercise and go hiking, the last I went for hiking is in early 2011 at Kepong FRIM. I went to Putrajaya Marathon in end 2011. so, basically, nothing on physical challenge I did in 2012. And in 2013, it is just a beginning. Really. This must change. I got to do something challenging again. I got to start doing physical exercise to stay healthy.
It was a struggle for me to be on top. A couple of time I have to stop a few minutes to catch my breath. And I cursing my big ass for added burden to my journey up to the peak. In another note, I realized that I responsible for it! Sigh...... :D oh, well.. let's go up! Keep going.
My boyfriend is still holding on. He is strong, carry our stuff and food for breakfast. It's amazing. Although I know, he don't like to do this kind of stuff. He rather sleep in the morning under nice blanket. I'm grateful he always there for me. If we can conquer Broga, we also can conquer Mount Kinabalu and that's it, at the moment. :D
It's a mental challenge to. My head was asking, "Are we there yet? how far some more?" But, the people around me without saying anything was inspired me the most, no age limit, or size, school kids, scout boys, obese people also keep going. For sure, this is nothing. We have our dearly buddy, Job Ng to accompany us, and his weight is about 100kg, I believe. Need to check with him. He inspired me. If he can do it! I also can!
I experience, if you have motivational problem, go hiking where people just show up and giving 100% of their life to be on top. I keep motivate myself and my boyfriend, "just a little bit more. We can hear people cheering, it's right there," And when we're at another midpoint, I heard my boyfriend said, "There is no way I'm going to get to that top," I look up and the trail is really stiff.
I know but, I refuse to give up and be okay in the middle of the Broga Hill. Even the middle is beautiful. So, imagine when we're on top?
It was good experience hiking up! Although, we're didn't make it on time to watch sunrise..:D The air was so clean and fresh! I love the air breeze on top and it was blissful. The place was serene and beautiful.
We spent amazing moment with the rest of our team having breakfast! Lovely and healthy too. We share our being, laughter and food.
The couple I always envy for being fit! Muahahahahaha!! Thanks for organised this event and inviting us..:D

Enjoying the bed of grass..~ Don't fall asleep! We're haven't reach to the top yet!

We're continue hiking and I feel the difference of my being, I become more use to the voices of my head saying, "we can do this! We're almost there,". The feeling of wanted to be on top is so big and solid and I know I'm going to reach to the top and I'm not letting my team behind." A journey of a thousand miles begin with one step. "

Foooooood! Breakfast! yummy!
Beautiful and serene ~ only at middle of Broga.
Mario and Ramlah also make it to the top! Fantastic!
The couple I always envy for being fit! Muahahahahaha!! Thanks for organised this event and inviting us..:D
YOU SHOULD BE HERE!!
The Legacies!!
It's a beautiful place indeed. However, there is still ignorant people who don't really appreciate the beauty of nature by leave their rubbish; unwanted mineral water bottle, drink can and many more. So, we decided to collect the rubbish along the way down. At first, I was hesitating but it just need to take one person to make a stand for cleaner and better environment. If it's not me, than who?
So, it's about 5-6 people of us did that and thank goodness for the extra big plastic bag that we keep in our bag and starts to collecting. It was for a good cause and we already make a difference to other people. I was surprised to receives a compliment from a foreigner or mat salleh, "Good Job guys, well done!" Never expected that. I feel that if every group that hike the hill take ownership and responsible of their rubbish, sure Broga Hill is the much nicer and cleaner.
What I learn in this challenge is the team work to accomplish our team vision. To hike the Broga Hill and to be on top. I heard, a few friend could not make it to the top because of health issues but, I pray they'll come back and conquer the Hill. To be on top took perseverance, determination and will power. Mental and physical fit will help a lot but, it will not going to stop us from keep going in our dream and vision! This learning is useful for our everyday life. As a human being, we are responsible to take care the nature and the environment. This journey has strengthen the friendship we're continue bonding with among us with a mix of age, race and religion.

Atas Nama Melayu
Aku dibesarkan sebagai seorang Melayu. Dari kecil lagi, aku diajar supaya menghormati orang tua, tunduk apabila melintas di depan orang tua. Aku diajar menjaga percakapan, tata tertib, saling menghormati, bekerjasama, membantu orang tua, tak bercakap semasa makan.
Isi borang UPU. Aku tahu kalau aku isi Borang UPU, aku boleh mendapat tempat. Tapi, entah kenapa, hati aku tak terasa langsung nak ke UiTM.
Seorang sahabat yang berbangsa Cina bertanya, "Result SPM you okay, kenapa tak apply UiTM?"
Aku jawab, "Entah. Tak rasa nak pergi," Suaranya berbaur pelik, "You orang melayu, sangat senang lah masuk UiTM, tak payah susah-susah ambil STPM," Sejak saat itu, hati aku berazam sesuatu. 'Apa, ko ingat sebab aku Melayu, aku senang nak masuk U ke? I want to earn it lah. Baru puas hati,'
Ya. I earned it. STPM, 5 prinsipal. Sekali lagi, keputusan aku bukan sederet A tapi, aku puas hati sebab aku betul-betul berusaha.
Tiba-tiba, aku jadi kecut. Aku jadi takut. Aku marah dengan diri aku, sebab pandai-pandai je, ikut sedap isi borang UPU - minta kursus Undang-undang. Nak jadi lawyer ke? Aku ni boleh jadi lawyer ke? Lawyer tu pandai lah, aku bukannya pandai.
Aku pun patut pilih kursus lain kalau aku memang betul-betul tak minat bidang undang-undang. Buat apa aku nak bazirkan masa belajar kalau aku tak nak jadi peguam, kan? Tapi, aku teruskan jugak.
Hah! Tu semua aku la tu kecuali join politik kampus. Eew, bosan. Owh, kalau pasal bercinta nombor satu. Masa time tu, orang giler chatting. IRC. Hehehe.. Aku jumpa cinta pertama (kunun) melalui IRC lah.. Insyaallah, satu hari nanti..
Sekarang ni, dah hampir sedekad aku tinggalkan alam pengajian, dan mulai bekerja. Alhamdulillah, aku berjaya jadi peguam. Bercadang-cadang pulak nak buka firma guaman sendiri.
Racism is so yesterday.
Isi borang UPU. Aku tahu kalau aku isi Borang UPU, aku boleh mendapat tempat. Tapi, entah kenapa, hati aku tak terasa langsung nak ke UiTM.
Seorang sahabat yang berbangsa Cina bertanya, "Result SPM you okay, kenapa tak apply UiTM?"
Aku jawab, "Entah. Tak rasa nak pergi," Suaranya berbaur pelik, "You orang melayu, sangat senang lah masuk UiTM, tak payah susah-susah ambil STPM," Sejak saat itu, hati aku berazam sesuatu. 'Apa, ko ingat sebab aku Melayu, aku senang nak masuk U ke? I want to earn it lah. Baru puas hati,'
Ya. I earned it. STPM, 5 prinsipal. Sekali lagi, keputusan aku bukan sederet A tapi, aku puas hati sebab aku betul-betul berusaha.

Living & Eating Healthy!
(*Warning: I am NOT a nutritionist)
I am so excited!
For the last 2 weeks, I have been getting what food should I eat that will give purpose to my body. Become more conscious I have change my diet to eat more vegie and less carb and fried stuff. Yes. It is sooo challenging to live without carbs in Malaysia. Rice and noodles is my main food - good food!
I have once lose 10kilos in 2011 in three months and I feel great! But, My mind was sub-consciously tell me that, I did it once, I can do it again. So, I admitted that I have not been on track and (why am I not surprised?) I have gained 20kilos in 2013. Urggh! Yes. It's horrible. I look at mirror every morning and tell to myself, "I'm not that fat..." and continue doing what I love most! EAT!
The thing is, friends and family (include my other half) keep reminds me that I gained weight. Yeah.. that's normal until it became imune to me. My sub-conscious mind said, "So what?! I can lose again, I'm just don't want to. Not now. Not today.."
One sweet day, while I was watching TV with some snack..(ok, it's my favourite junk food). My mom, suddenly she asked me, "Do you know you getting fat like who? (in Bahasa; "Acu tahu acu gemuk macam siapa?") I was stunned and stopped. "Who? (Siapa?)" My face was numb. I can feel as if my heartbeat stop. That night, my mom was very neutral in giving her feedback. No shows of emotion; not angry, not being cynical or being dissapointed. And she mentioned one of our well-known relative. I was shocked and feeling "warned". I can feel the cold-sweat on my forehead, my lips feel dry, and I sigh...
That feedback remind me that, if I didn't do anything about it, instead of being overweight, I could be obese. Well, it's not that I have anything against it but, it is something for me to be alert to.
When I succeed in losing 10kilos last time, I signed into one of the prestige fitness center in KL, and I was committed to lose weight. My focus is to lose fat, weight anything that can support my body lose weight. Oh, ya! I also have one coach which I used to resemble her to 'komunis or samurai'. I was scared and yet respect her and the way she coach me together with a support of a group of 'crazy' people - checking my result every weeks for the whole 3 months. Hahaha! It's a sweet memories.
I don't think so that's working for me now. The only person that can coach me, is myself and support group that I have is a few people that are committed to live a Healhty, Sexy and Sleeky life ~ And, note to self, it is only me that have power to sabotage everything good in my life. And I have learned; learned from a hard way.. :/
And I moved on. It's time to step to left and take the lesson.
Yes. So, as I mentioned earlier in what I wish for 2013, is to have a healthy lifestyle. Be balance. Moderate. Conscious. Happy. Consistence. Yes. At the end of the day, I wanted to lose weight however, my purpose to lose weight is live healthy and happy. And this is what I have created so far since early January 2013;
Light Exercise
I have been waking up early for morning walk for 30-45 minutes, solat/meditate for 10-15 minutes, went to morning market to buy breakfast for my parents and some vegie for lunch. After work, I eaither went for a jog or for a swim in one hour. I'm so excited about my new one piece swimming suit (not yet a bikini) which I bought it a few months ago, only using it for the first time last weekend. Haha! And I love exercising in the swimming pool. It's less stress than walking on a treadmill but, I have to admit my stomach gets little hungry after one hour exercise in the pool. So, I just treat my tummy a nice hot milo kosong (without sugar).
Psyllium Husk
What is Psyllium Husk?
This is very cool supplement food. Read this for more info. Friends recommends this to used as a regular dietary supplement to improve and maintain regular GI transit. I have this every morning, mixing it with water. How it taste? Well, it's tasteless. Some friends describe like having biji selasih drinks. If you have tried Herbalife product, good. But I prefered this because it has same effect and way more cheeper - I got it in one of Indians grocery shop in Brickfeild, KL for less than RM10. I did check out the price in hyper supermarket like Tesco, a bit pricey and can reach to RM40 per packet.
Vegie for Lunch
My lunch is so easy to make. In the morning; I boiled eggs (maximum 2) and two type of vegie, example for today, I boiled japanese mushroom and broccoli. During lunch, I just warm up the boiled vegie for 1-2 minutes, sprinkle it with a bit of salt and pepper. Cut a medium size tomato to 8 pieces. And served with olive oil and a bit lemon juice. One thing about homemade lunch that I really love is my creativity. Oh, ya! Please chew your lunch slow and enjoy every taste of it.
Chips & Sweets
I refuse to weight myself. Not yet. Not now. I want to establish this healthy habit first and get used to it. My learning as of now, is to be conscious of what I eat. Be okay if my body feel the urge to eat some chips and sweets. But, never being excessive and overloaded.
Drinking Water
I have yet to establish the habits of drinking water for 8 glass a day. But, I will keep consciously tell my body to drink water everytime.
Coffee
Actually, creating healthy living is fun! My body feels lighter and I become focus at works. Best things was, my coffee is not to wake me up but, I just merely enjoy the fresh aroma of coffee..
Hungry moments
Oh, yes! Everytime while driving home - that long one hour drive home! Yesterday, Mr. H and I supposed to have dinner at one of our favourite Mamak. But, on the way there, I realise that my phone battery is getting really low - almost died. So I called him to change our plan to meet up at home, instead. I requested him to take away some food for dinner. And so, he's back WITHOUT any food. Nothing for munch. I don't know what get into me. I get so emosional, I can feel my hand are shaken because I was so hungry and angry. And I cried. Mr. H was shocked to see me like that. So, I guess along the journey my mind keep telling me about the food that I hope that Mr. H would bring home and when it's not there, my body react.
What I could do different is to have a snack of healthy biscuit in my car to munch if I felt hungry and control my hunger.
Well, I guess I have to get use to it. Still adjusting my life to be on track and creating what I want to have for 2013. So far, I love my healthy life and lots of things to explore and experiments as long as my intention and purpose are clear.
Cheers to a greater life, Babe!

2013; I wish for myself...
Count your blessings. A grateful heart attracts more joy, love, and prosperity. This morning, while driving to work, I was listening to Red.fm - Lil Kev on top 5 resolution for 2013, and number #one is NOT to have resolution. Often we have resolution in the beginning of the year and most of us end up not getting it. How many of us have a broken agreement with ourself and not feeling guilty about it. This scenario happened to me every year. So, what will be different for me in 2013? I think, I'm going to take Lil Kev's idea - NOT to have resolution this year. However, i would like to use different point of view. I am really look forward for 2013. I am hopeful for things to be as joyful as it meant to be. And, this is what I wish for myself and the world in 2013.. What's your wish?
-- Cheryl Richardson
I wish for myself.. to have a healthy lifestyle...
Health is a state of complete harmony of the body, mind and spirit. When one is free from physical disabilities and mental distractions, the gates of the soul open.Once upon a time, I declared to lose weight.. I succeed once. Lost 10kg in 3 months. It lasted for four to five months until I gained back those fats! I have not been on track. Now, I have the power to get back the life that it meant to be. HEALTHY. Why it's so difficult to live healthier? Choose being healthy. Balance my lifestyle with goodness and greatness. Yes! Forget weight scale!
-- B.K.S. Iyengar
I wish for myself.. to have an abundance cashflow and steady income everyday...
I have steady job as a lawyer and yet, there is always not enough in the end of the month. So, what will it takes for me to have an abundance cashflow? Early December 2012, I went to this training conducted by Milestone Training Center in Bangsar called Living Everyday in Abundance and Prosperous (L.E.A.P.) and I am grateful for the learning and it is never small in giving and receiving.. It is always how we view life, from being abundance point of view or, scarcity point of view, which one will you prefer to see? A half full glass of water or a half empty glass of water?
When I reflect back how I view my worklife, I used to complaint how robotic my life has been, and it's all about the doing. A lot of backlog files to handle and tons of things need to be done, end of the day, drive home and tomorrow continue doing the same things. I have few option how to change it for 2013; either change job or change my point of view about my job. Yes! The easier and most practical for me to do NOW is to change my point of view about my job. Each files on my table represent an individual, a family, represent hope and trust. I am carry a huge task which I am honoured to be part of it. :) Hurm.. feeling a bit lighter now...
At the end of each day, you should play back the tapes of your performance. The results should either applaud you or prod you.I wish for enough time for myself for my loves one...
-- Jim Rohn (1930-2009)
Everybody have 24 hours a day to do everything with everybody that one's wish for. My parents requested me to spend extra hours with them every weekend and I feel the need to take that request seriously and it's not about how long the time we spend with our loves one but the content that we spent with them. Yes, I do noticed, while being with them, I am not "there", specifically not being present.
Have you been in the moment where you're in the meeting or in the class but, you wish you were somewhere else? Yes? No? Well, I do. It has be my habits. I realized that, I have always takes time for granted and guess what? I missed a lot of opportunities spending it wisely especially spending time with my loves one, friends and family. What will be different now?
One year equal to 525,600 minutes...
Five hundred twenty-five thousand six hundred minutes
How do you measure, measure a year?
In daylights, in sunsets
In midnights, in cups of coffee
In inches, in miles, in laughter, in strife
In five hundred twenty-five thousand six hundred minutes
How do you measure, a year in the life?
I love to write about life, about things happening in today's world, experience and learning. I love to read about things matter to this world, to human kinds. I love to talk about hopes and dreams. We are connected in everyday life to each other in different ways. We shared common things, thoughts, feelings, and even the air we breathe.. Life is definately a miracle things that ever happen to each one of us. Everyday, we always have something to celebrate about. And today, I wish to celebrate a new year, a new beginning..
Lots of Love,
Sufi.

Winning is a Habit!
Winning has NOTHING to do with anyone else.
Winning is a personal thing, it's a habit.
Finishing a marathon is winning.
Not giving up until you hit your 100th rep is winning.
Winning is about realizing your potential, that you have exhausted all that you could do, and looking back KNOWING that you beat yourself.
This is why, winning is a habit.
Life is not always a competition with others.
But it's always a competition with yourself.
- happydaisylovelynigh
I don't play football. In fact I don't do much sports. I don't really sweat and compete in any match, any sports. I'm not a sportwoman. However, I find sportman/woman a very fascinating people. Play in a team and won. Well, compete. Some game we win, some game we lose. How we play the game, counts, no matter who we compete with. Do we play game when our team win, each indidual win?
Interesting.
However, let's look at our everyday life. Are we living our life as a team? Or alone? What do we create everyday in our life. Looking deeper in ourself. Are we our result? Winning yes is a habit. A habit, if you did long enough become a culture, culture shall then become a belief. How fantastic is it when winning become our belief.
Praise the Lord for this enlightenment.
Lots of love.

Berikan Kasih, Sampaikan Cinta ~
http://thestar.com.my/columnists/story.asp?file=%2F2012%2F9%2F19%2Fcolumnists%2Fthestarsays%2F12049265&sec=thestarsays#.UFk3qM6PqFc.facebook
"Nak cakap pun salah, tak cakap pun salah.. tapi, kena cakap juga.. kan dah cakap, jgn cari pasal. tulah.. sekarang ni sapa yang susah? sendiri juga yang susah? sendiri juga yang malu.. sekarang apa nak jadi? nasi dah jadi bubur.. tanggung sendiri lah.."
"Sendiri mahu ingatlah Cik Adik ooi..
Memalukan!"
Hurm..
Aku sedih.
Aku tak tahu nak buat apa.
Aku tahu aku dah buat silap.
Salam Sayang,
Sufi.

Natural Born Talent..ed!
I have to share what's happening to me last night! It's was awesome moment of mylife! Remember I shared before about me learning how to play guitar with my brothers last year? it tooks me 3 months to learn 4 chords, one song, 'stand by me' from Ben E King. Yeah? No? Nevermind.
So, at first I learned the song from through youtube, you know. Really, when I keep singing that song, practise the same chords, I get bored and surely people who HAD to listen to my "practise" ..well, *rolling eyes, your body language says it all. By the way, thank you for standing by me after all and for your direct and honest feedback! hahaha!! My finger blistered because I have to press hard on the string. Until now I didn't fully understand how to tune the guitar. I kinda given up on continuing my guitar lesson since then. However, I have to say many thanks to Dymphna and her friends who letting me be in their space to perform on their event called "Legacy Talent Day(Nights)" on 9th Sept 2012. Hahaha!! I remembered, when she first approuch me a two weeks ago and asked, whether I know anybody that can perform for their event. And then, I remembered and said, "Well,I used to learn how to play guitar and I know how to play one song," She replied, "Great!!! I'll fill your name in," and I remember very clearly how awkward my smile was. Perform?? On stage. My guitar? Am I nuts??? What have I done? So, cut the crap. I decided to invite my friends, Kah Wei (Sweet and Still Single guy. hahaha!) to perform with me, he agreed with condition that he is the backup guitar only. I said "Yeah, yeah! No problem." So, we practise the guitar and he suggested for us play second song. "Where got time??!!" I replied but, just go along with him and decided to play another song by, Pearl Jam, "Last Kiss". I agreed to this song just because, it have same chords with the first song. Hahaha!! But, with different rhythm and tempo. For me, problem with this song is the lyrics. I was told that Legacy Talent Day was intentionally to celebrate them for completing their journey in one the training that they attended. So, I was keen to sing the song.
However, that Sunday I was hooked with a lot things with meetings, family and friends since morning so I don’t really have much time to remember the lyric of Last Kiss. So, I decided to do something different. 30 minutes before the event, Daniel (my friend) and I while having our quick pre-dinner create our own lyrics for the performance. It was really, impromptu. On the spot. Reaching at the place, practise the second song with guitar for less than 5 minutes and additional 5 minutes for the first song. End up with additional 3 backup singers on stage. And wallah!! We did it! I acknowledge myself for creating it in contributing for others.
I created excitement, fun and awesomeness. Enrolling my friends to support me on stage and the rest of the night has become magic and miracle. It went smoothly and happening! Bless Dymhpna and her team for organized this event. The event is another platform for other people to unleash their talent. Bless to the owner of the restaurant, Sharine Chua, and her staff in supporting this event. Bless all family and friends that attended for their cheers and supports. I would like to acknowledge a few friends who were there in supporting the effort. They are all great!! And that night is a creation of talented people! Lots of love!! Sufi.

Our beloved powerful women
Sharing an article from AstroView September 2012 on the most inspiring women in Malaysia. I am truly inspired by all, beautiful, powerful, passionate, honest and loving women of Malaysia.
The Most Inspiring Women in Malaysia
Women are, undoubtedly, the pillar of success behind every man and the strength behind every flourishing family. Asians have never forgotten the grand days of their matriarchal society that has shaped kingdoms and governments as we know them today. They have been with us as mothers, sisters, friends, aunts, teachers, nurses and from stall owners selling packets of ‘nasi lemak’ to heads of large organizations implementing policies that can change the direction of an entire nation.
In saluting these outstanding women of Malaysia, Top of 10 Malaysia is honored to present the Top 10 Most Inspiring Women of Malaysia. This is in recognition of their achievements that have come as a result of their tenacity, competence and courage.
Zeti Akhtar Aziz (Tan Sri Dr)
Topping the list is Tan Sri Zeti Akhtar Aziz, governor of Malaysian Central Bank (BNM). She recently made headlines when a renowned Bloomberg columnist, William Pesek named her as a candidate for the post of IMF president following the resignation of the former president recently.
The 63-year-old Tan Sri Dr Zeti Aziz is the first woman to be appointed as central bank governor in Malaysia and Asia, and the first woman to be within the top ten rankings for central bank governors of the world. She recently extended her contract with Bank Negara Malaysia for another five years, making her the second longest serving governor of BNM.
Her determination to take the Malaysian economy out of the doldrums during the Asian financial crisis was clearly evident when she took over the reins at BNM in 1998. Despite the numerous criticisms and pressures from many quarters, including the IMF, she went ahead to peg the Malaysia ringgit against the US dollar and banned offshore trading of the Malaysian currency. These unconventional and drastic measures finally paid off in 2005 when foreign exchange rules were relaxed and the Malaysian ringgit began to rise against the US dollar.
One of her major contributions is putting Malaysia at the forefront of the Islamic money market, and with many policies carefully planned and executed, Malaysia now has a substantial number of Islamic investors, both domestic and foreign.
Nicol Ann David (Datuk)
At the number two spot is a person who is no stranger to all of us, Nicol Ann David. Currently ranked world number one by WISPA, she is the first Asian sportswoman to have achieved this ranking, the first Malaysian and Asian ever to be crowned as the world number one in sports. Having obtained this crowning glory at the young age of 23, she has been holding this ranking for a consecutive 54 months now and with 57 matches won.
She began to shine during the very early years of her life by being the first squash player to have won the World Junior title twice in 1999 and in 2001. Since then, she has won many major tournaments and in the year 2000, she decided to join WISPA to become a professional squash player. Within a month during the tour, Nicol again outperformed the others to clinch the Savcor Finnish Open title.
Nicol David’s other notable achievements include winning the Asian Squash Championship eight times, a hard-to-beat record. Nicol was also named the WISPA Player of the Year for six consecutive times from 2005 until 2010. She was honored with the Order of Merit (Darjah Bakti) by His Majesty Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin in 2008 and was the first recipient of the award that was established in 1975. This award is limited to only ten recipients who have made significant contributions in the arts, sciences and the humanities. In the same year, she also received the Darjah Setia Pangkuan Negeri award which carries the title “Datuk”, making her the youngest person ever to be conferred Datukship in Penang.
Siti Nurhaliza binti Tarudin (Dato’)

Currently, she has been listed as one of Malaysia’s richest and most influential artists who has won the most awards.

The 4th position is taken by Zainah Anwar, a prominent Malaysian non-governmental organization leader, activist and Muslim feminist. She was the head of Sisters in Islam - an organization that fights for Islamic women rights within the religion - for over two decades before stepping down.
Moved by problems and difficulties faced by Muslim women in courts, Zainah and a few other fellow journalists and lawyers founded Sisters in Islam in 1987. Then in 1990, the movement that was formally registered and became known as SIS, focused on challenging laws and policies made to discriminate Islam women in the name of Islam. Eventually, SIS expanded to encompass larger issues of democracy, human rights and constitutionalism.
Zainah was involved with Sisters in Islam for two decades as its leader. She was responsible for building the NGO from a small organization to a global voice and gave numerous talks on empowering Islam women throughout the world.
SIS has been at the forefront of non-government movements influencing amendments to Islamic Family Law. It has espoused equality and justice for women, discussed dress and modesty, the right to guardianship, women as judges, fundamental liberties in Islam, and apostasy and freedom of religion.

In 2008, film critic website Rotten Tomatoes ranked her as the greatest action heroine of all time.
Michelle started her film career acting in action and martial arts films although she had no formal martial arts training. She learned English and Malay before Cantonese, making it hard for her to understand Chinese characters especially when it comes to reading scripts but she managed to overcome this by learning phonetically over the years.
Michelle was awarded the Darjah Datuk Paduka Mahkota Perak (DPMP), which carries the title Dato’ by the Sultan of Perak, Sultan Azlan Shah in 2001 in conjunction with the Sultan’s 73rd birthday, in recognition of the fame she brought to the state. My Vision for Malaysia
I have a bigger hope and dream for Malaysia.
Every each of us plays a bigger role as people of Malaysia. Do you know that whatever happened to our country, all of us are responsible for it? However, most of us choose to put other people to blame, instead of us choose to take ownership of every little thing and it’s includes me because it’s easy. It’s not our fault. Let other people handle what’s not working with our country.
What kind of complain that we usually hear about Malaysian? Ahh.. we just love to complaint but didn’t do something about it.
However, I would like to acknowledge those who have courage to make a stand for Malaysia especially those who are coming from civil society. They make a stand for the people, for the cause because they believe of all of us deserved to be treated equal and fair.
Let us not touch on politics just because, too much energy has been drawn from the people when both our current government and the opposition are playing I’m right-You’re wrong’s game. Yes, I choose not to say.
There are other bigger issue that we can talk about. Let us first stop, and drop everything. Drop our opinion, our belief, our thoughts, our feelings about Malaysia and as Malaysian. Let us look at ourselves. What is it about us that we really love? What really unites us as together as Malaysian. What have we committed to create for Malaysia? What have we contributed to our generation, to our children, and to the future of Malaysia?
I don’t know about u but personally, we could starts by asking what we want for ourselves and to the people around us, our environment and Malaysia as a whole.
Notice, we always avoid to talk about the what is not working in our country openly, honestly and courageously because we don’t want to pay the prices of lose face, being judge or being arrested, and worst we could be detain without trial for several years when we really openly discuss about what is not working and what is possible for Malaysia.
What works for us is to have given the space and freedom to speech, to move, or anything else that is fall under our Federal Constitution and carry it with responsibility and coming with the intention on good faith. What is sad, most of us also never seen our Constitution. Are we even cares to understand the core of our Constitution? There is a set of principles such as rule of law contain is it and gives guidance for the law-maker to do their job in protecting and servicing the Rakyat. Given so much of experience and incident happen to Malaysia recently shows that are we are started to aware something could have done better and efficiently.
We pay our income tax and if you counted how much we earn and pay up the income tax, our country could have been the richest country in South-East Asia, looking at we don’t really have challenges of natural disaster like earth quake and volcano. So, what’s really holding we back from having a prosperous, clean and beautiful, harmonize, united country?
We have so many resources that we could have ever dream. The knowledge and the technology are in our finger for us to do research and development in every each sector. In which way should we see how much we worth for and don’t we should compete in a positive ways with each other and challenge us to be the top regardless of our race, religion and our cultural.
I would want to see myself be REALLY be independent without demanding some subsidies and what will it takes for the country to feed me but what we could do for our country regardless of who is our government as long as they hold us the people big and so equality, justice, fairness can be given to all people, and not to choose and pick where they coming from. When I read our history, the fact states we are all immigrants and we are living in this world to learn, to grow and to share. In my point of view, a country that are govern and rule based on control and manipulation shall never can empowered the people to expand their highest and biggest possibilities. For decades, each of us has been feed by lots of belief of ourselves and others. It was created mostly based from misunderstanding because we don’t really discuss what really matters such as our government, our law, our education system, our economy, our society and many more.
We didn’t really create a safe space for real debate which can enhance our being, our thought. Most of us, created our own belief that suit us and if that belief holds us back, what benefits could we get by holding it for so long. Can’t we just be united and living with respect with no bribe and judgmental? Even God Almighty said we were born equal, why do we create distinction between us.
We didn’t really dream BIG. So what now we have one astronaut, now what? Is there a possibility that we could have our own spaceship?
We have more than twenties, the rich and famous people in Malaysia, why can’t we created 2 million people are billionaires and be a giver and the most needed. Why don’t we create success to all people of Malaysia regardless of their race and at the same time, our environment is well taking care of therefore our nature didn’t swollen by the greediness of the so called “developer” in the name of development? We could have create balance and harmonize relationship between nature and development.
It’s DO sound theoretically and idealistic and I may sounds like a dreamer but, could it be fair if we all committed to create a loving, honest, and powerful country so that we could be inspired and inspired to serve the people all around us and the world.
The only thing the hold us to grow bigger and be a giver is our own selves. We have sell-out our dream and our hope for Malaysia just by being selfish and only think about our own self demand instead of giving out there and stand for what is possible for Malaysia, our beloved country. This is our home. What rights does “other” people to chase us out just because we didn’t see eye to eye?
Let us dream again for Malaysia and have a vision of possibility to bring Malaysia higher out to the world. Together and united, live as the real meaning of one Malaysia, and not just a cheap slogan where our vote can be bought.
